The director of Tele’Drama Bulgaria, Daniela Tahirova, along with Lily Mireva, Gabriela Kuzeva Mancheva, Zaneta Nikolova, and Valentina Hristova from STP3, are planning to hold a plenary session at the 5th International Hybrid Conference. The title of the plenary is “Timeless Threads: Bringing Action to Bulgarian Tradition in Modern Times.” The goal is to demonstrate how we use an ancient Bulgarian tradition—naming the bread—in group therapy.
Four facilitators will create three spaces:
1. **A virtual space** for participants attending the conference.
2. **The hall and the folklore-preserving community of Chitalishte “Dimitar Tsonkov” (established in 1927)** in the village of Zvezdica, near Varna on the Black Sea coast. “Chitalishte” is a Bulgarian community center—a nonprofit organization for education and self-development. This ancient Bulgarian tradition began in the 17th century during the Ottoman rule and played a key role in Bulgaria’s liberation and the formation of an independent state.

3. **The hall for bread therapy** at Revera, an NGO community day center for people with mental health issues in Varna.
These three spaces will interact through the ancient Bulgarian ceremony of naming the bread, which involves both the act of creation and the exchange of something meaningful for the naming to come true. The session will conclude with the sharing of freshly baked bread.
